HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — The concession stands at Hot Springs’ Majestic Park baseball complex will go cashless starting Monday, September 15, General Manager Derek Phillips said Wednesday.
“We’ll accept a wide variety of payment methods,” Phillips said, “but we’ll stop taking cash at the concession stands and for merchandise sales.”
Phillips said there were several reasons for making the switch.
“For one thing, it’s a security decision,” he said. “It also makes it more convenient for our fans to have the purchases take place quicker and avoid any delays. It’s also easier for our concession stand employees to conduct transactions quicker and more accurately.
“We think it’s better for everybody.”
Phillips said acceptable forms of payment will include Square, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and JCB Card.
